Knowledge is Power!

Knowledge is Power!

Anyone that knows me, will know that I love to read and learn around a subject.  So in the establishment of my business, they wouldn’t be surprised to hear that I have been doing lots of reading, in addition to completing a number of professional development courses.  The courses are still ongoing, so I will save writing a review on those until they are completed but in the interim, I thought it might be quite nice to write some reviews on the books that I have been reading – the knowledge that I am learning is Power and helps me shape and develop my Brand and my Business.

The book reviews will take the form of individual Blog posts, so that you can dip in and dip out of any that you think you might like the sound of.  Over the next couple of days, I will post reviews on:

  • The Essential Business Guide by Cobweb.
  • Tweep-e-licious by Lynn Serafinn
  • How to get started on Twitter and Generate Business by Helen Stothard
  • The A to Z of Virtual Assistant Tools by Helen Stothard
  • 12 Lessons by Kate Spencer
  • How to Create a New Client Welcome Pack – A Virtual Assistant Forum Guide by Tess Strand
  • Become a Virtual Assistant – The Virtual Assistant Forums Guide to Success by Tess Strand

On my “To Be Read Pile” are the following books – the list is in no particular order – and it should be noted these are just the ones that haven’t gone into storage!  My aim will to get some of these read in the coming weeks and add reviews once done:

  • Shiny Shiny – How to Stop being a Social Media Magpie by Karen Skidmore
  • She Takes on the World by Natalie Macneil
  • A Survival Guide for Life by Bear Grylls
  • The Four Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferris
  • Taming Your Public Speaking Monkeys by Dee Clayton

  • Get Off Your Arse Too by Brad Burton
  • The Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann
  • Go Givers Sell More by Bob Burg and John David Mann
  • Its Not About You by Bob Burg and John David Mann

In the comments section below, I would love to know what you are reading and why. You never know, perhaps I will read that next and remember Knowledge is Power.  Please remember this is just my opinion of the books and just because I like it, doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to like it but I hope you will!

  1. Hi Amanda, that’s a pretty awesome reading list. Feel the Fear is a great book, a personal development classic! Right now, I’m reading so many wonderful books for University (too many to mention) and for personal reading, I’m looking at Biocentrism by Dr Robert Lanza. I’m interested in research that closes the gap between science and spirituality. Have a great day! xx
