7 Great apps for productivity

When it comes to productivity, we’ve never had it so good! With the advent of smart phones and tablets, we can keep working whilst on the move – with our mobile smart phone becoming both our indispensable personal assistant and virtual workspace.

Being permanently on the move can also eat into our working day though, as we juggle both work and personal life, often on a daily basis. Here’s my list of my top 7 great apps, to ensure your productivity is kept high whilst you’re on the go!

#1: Evernote

evernote for productivityWhen it comes to note taking, Evernote is king! A digital notebook that stores everything from photos to webpages, audio clips to to-do lists. Syncs seamlessly with your PC and laptop and, with free, high (£19.99 per year) and premium (£34.99 per year) versions available, Evernote suits every size of business.

#2: CloudMagic

The award-winning email app works with most email apps, including exchange and IMAP services. It gives you a really simple, uncluttered workspace, powerful tools and the ability to work with up to five email accounts. CloudMagic is available free on iOS and android.

#3: Trello

Trello is a digital bulletin board, making it ideal for to-do lists, note taking and basic task management. You have to ability to add photos, webpages and text documents to Trello – making it ideal for both individuals and group task management. Trello is free, flexible and visual.

#4: Asana

Suitable for teams of up to 15 people, the free option of Asana makes project management easy to monitor and coordinate. Amongst other things, you have the ability to assign tasks, review progress and leave comments. Asana has a tiered payment plan for larger teams, complete with additional organisational tools.

#5: Dropbox

DropboxDropbox is an easy way to share your folders and files across your own devices, as well as with your clients and team members. The free option has a 2GB storage facility, whilst the pro option has 1TB and costs $9.99 a month. Dropbox also has a separate Dropbox for Business plan too.

#6: Sunrise

Sunrise is a great calendar app that connects with LinkedIn. This means you can easily pull up the data and photo of the business person you are meeting with. It syncs with your existing Google, iCloud and Exchange calendars. Sunrise is available on iOS and Android for $4.99 and Mac ($14.99)

#7: Clear

Clear is a simple to-do and reminder list that enables you to easily drag, add, delete and reorder your list. It’s clear and simple workspace enables you to stay focused on what’s really important for you. Available on iOS and Mac, Clear is $4.99

#8: Make your morning jog more productive… with this fun app!

If you find your morning jog or run a bit boring, make it a LOT more productive – and give yourself a real reason to run – with the Zombies Run Game! You get to run in the real world, whilst becoming a hero in another. You run or jog normally but, if you get chased in the game by Zombies… you have to put in more of an effort to avoid death! Zombies Run Game is free, and great at keeping you motivated to continue your daily jogging or running ambitions.
